I've been searching the web looking for custom-made cards by players and have found some fairly nice looking ones. Other than having amazing art skills, what is the best way to put drawings and words onto the blank cards?? Simply by hand?? Just looking for ideas to make it all a little more aesthetically pleasing. Thanks!

This has been extensively covered in other threads -- you may want to do a forum search to see what's already been written.
Essentially, it boils down to this: purchase some blank cards and use a color printer. (I think inkjet is better than laser). Attach the card to a regular piece of paper and run it through the printer. Do a test run first, to ensure it looks right and is positioned correctly.

Don't forget to read the text carefully, as munckin is the game of being a rules lawyer who backstabs your friends.
If you're going to homebrew or borrow, make sure you know your words. Otherwise, that level 1 monster might kill your character because of an unclear wording. . .

I've found taping the edges sideways to a sheet of paper that you've already printed out a sample of your card on, then running it through again allows for a decent placement of the card.
After you let it dry, use a marker to touch up the edge where the tape was, then use a clear coat finish spray to seal it (Just used the stuff I use for my miniature models. This stops the ink from bleeding and protects it from rubbing off). My son made some Halo Star Munchkin cards this way and they came out quite well. I also did a Pirate class card for Star, using some alien pirate image and the text from Booty. |
