Hello!
First I thought I might introduce myself. My name is Havard and I am from Norway. I picked up In Nomine when it first came out and was really excited about the game. At the time however, I found it really hard to come up with adventures for it that appealed both to my own sense of what the game out to be and to the the tastes of my players. So the campaign I started, set in Berlin, died very quickly and I put the books up on my shelf, not looking back. Untill now that is. See, the thing is, I love In Nomine. I guess the problem was I loved it too much, and was quickly disappointed when I realized how tough it was to create a game that lived up to the standards I had set for myself. Okay, I won't bore you with more of my life story. To get to the point, I'm back. I hope to get a game started sometime this fall. My plan is to run a mini-campaign set in New York City some time before the Civil War. My main inspiration for this is the movie Gangs of New York and most of the game will probably take place in the Five Points area. Archangels involved will probably be Michael (Street wars), David (Gangs) and Gabriel and maybe others as well. Not sure about Demon Princes yet, but I was thinking at least Baal and Belial. For Choirs for the PCs, I was thinking of avoiding Kyriotates and Mercurials, but anything else will probably be acceptable. Thing is, even though Ive had this game for years, I am really a newbie when it comes to running it. Any advice or criticism or suggestions of the above, or general advice on running In Nomine is welcome! :) Havard |
