In my preparation to GM a THS Game at a con this Sunday, I'm putting a bunch of the THS templates in the GCS program.
I'm beggining with the templates in Changing Times. After that I intend to put the templates on this page, which I believe is from a anonymous (in the page, at least) foruminite. I'm also putting the templates from the conversion project in a document file that has almost the same formatting as the Changing Times book, with the intention of making a unofficial appendix to the book, with all the templates, and not only the templates of the first THS book. (in odf, rtf and pdf format) Now the question, how is the best way to share my work? Most of it is simply taking stuff that is already on the web and making it a little bit easier. Just formatting and style modifications. Can I upload gct, odf, pdf files in the GURPS Wiki, THS Yahoogroup or other place where THS players have easy access? (Note: the answer may actually be "no", because whoever was working on the task may not have finished it to their own satisfaction. But I have a pretty good version on my drive.) Edit: Oh, for GCS. Yes, I thought that this was about GCA. I'm getting old. Please ignore this post.

I thought you guys were talking about the templates not in Changing Times or Shell-Tech, the one in those two are part of the standard data files (just ran the data update myself right now to double check).
EDIT: For the GCA program I mean... which doesn't help that much I guess...

What to say? I like GCS, it is free and does run in OSX and Linux (I don't have windows).
And I intend to do the templates that aren't in Changing Times also. It's more work, but I was wanting to give something back to the GURPS/THS community for a while. I only need a place to put it. Maybe the yahoo group. I just would prefer a more 'official' place. |

They are live now! I put the ones I made so far in the transhumanspace Yahoogroup:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/...rth GCS Files/ To anyone that did not know of it, I use and recommend GURPS Character Sheet. I uploaded the dozen or so files I made until now. I think I can get all the templates from Changing Times this month, and the ones from the site in a confortable pace after that. I think that other people can upload to that directory also. Any help would be a pleasant surprise. |
