If you mean +1 reaction rolls from authority figures that prize group skills? yes that could be part of stereotype.

Nothing in the perk proved level of gullibility, or any youth related disadvantages. as your second half implied. After all the Perk is suitable for Adults as well, hence why it's called Background.

This thread is too long, or I am too lazy, to check it completely for whether this already exists:

Skillful Caster: must be bought for a specific spell, for each 5 points of margin of success reduce casting cost by 1, cumulative with reduction for high skill.

For example: the mage knows Charm-20 and rolls a 10. Cost is reduced by 2 for skill-20 and another 2 for MoS 10.

Skillful Maintainer: identical, only cost to maintain is reduced instead. Given that maintenance costs are ususally 1/2 of casting costs this is considerably more powerful, maybe too powerful for a perk. It should require Skillful Caster as a prerequisite.

Sounds suspiciously like Enhanced Parry 1: Knives, to me.

Hmm. I never thought of that. But that would apply to any knife, this applies to only a chosen kind of knife. Is that worth the -80% to take 5 points for E.P. down to 1?

-80% seems too big. Maybe -60%.

I like both of these a great deal. OOC, do you think it would be too powerful a Perk if you were using Ritual Magic and applied the Perk to the whole College?

Lactose Tolerance You body can digest lactose well into adulthood. Very common for people of Western European descent; in some settings, this ability is considered baseline, with lactose intolerance as a Quirk.

Thanks. Yes. I made them for some of my Magical Styles, and in the book most similar perks must be bought per spell and I followed that example.

Created for another thread:

Eye Spots [1]

You have primitive eye spots that can detect differences between light and dark. This gives rudimentary information about the surroundings and negates -1 in Blindness penalties when dealing with fast moving or high contrast objects but only when the bonus for a sighted character to see it would be +10 or more.
