I'm curious why the Springing Attack technique requires that you spend an entire turn crouching (and doing nothing else), when on B368 it says "If you are in a standing position, you can elect to crouch at the beginning of your turn, as part of any maneuver."
Why can't a character take a Step and Attack on the 1st turn, and then a Springing Attack on the 2nd? |

It's a cinematic technique to show off the "takes preparation" technique modifier from the technique-building system. As far as I know this is the only reason you have to crouch for a full turn.

Yeah, the "crouch" part is just a special effect. The important part is that you take a turn staying where you are and doing nothing else.
