When the Faery Realm broke open all of the races of faery were scattered. They found themselves in a world of humans, dinosaurmen and other humanoids from the mundane realm. For the first time they were mortal. The upperworld faeries were still able to maintain their powers and contact to the faery realm. The faeries of the underground were unable to access their powers. Many died but some still survived. The evil faeries who were less magical were much more able to survive than those who depended on magic for survival. Fomor, who were one of the most magical of all, were affected the most. They went into caves with high mana levels and slept as did the dragons and evil sidhe. The goblin-kin, ogres and trolls quickly became numerous and began to raid human settlements. The humans responded in kind, quickly driving the goblin-kin away to barren lands. The humans continued their war with the dinosaurmen. The humans and dinosaurmen battles were a stalemate until the humans befriended the elves, gnomes, dwarves and other good faeries. The dinosaurmen were outnumbered and retreated into the jungles. The good faeries told the humans of the evil faeries. The shadow elves, dark dwaves, hell gnomes and others. The evil faeries were powerless against the humans and good faeries. It was a slaughter. The dark faeries retreated to caves. The dark dwarves began digging tunnels deep into the earth. They were the best miners and diggers of all. But the elves, hell gnomes and and goblin-kin dug as well. Each group digging deeply into the ground to escape from certain death.

The dinosaurmen were slowly being defeated, their numbers were reduced. The dinosaurmen sought refuge in caves. The humans explored the caves and drove them deeper until the humans and good faeries no longer followed

The night of the skull-moon. It is said that one night, the moon appeared as if it had a skulls face. The humans and good faeries took this as an ill omen. There was an energy in the air and people said that things changed after that night. It was also the same night that the evil faeries felt a power surge through their veins. Many had the urge to use the magical powers that they had lost. Many did and to their surprise, their powers worked. The evil faeries fought back against the humans and good faeries. The evil faeries found an ally in the dinosaurmen and drove the humans and good faeries from the underworld. The goblin-kin, trolls and ogres dug crude tunnels and warrens and multiplied rapidly. The dark dwarves are said to have built tunnels with secret doors and pits to make sure humans and the good faeries would never defeat them again. The hell gnomes built labrynths with complicated traps with gears and levers that droppped scything blades and shot wickedly barbed arrows to keep out the humans and good faeries. The shadow elves hid in caverns and practiced their magical arts until they were powerful enough to buid a new society. The dinosaurmen dug deep into the earth and found enormous caverns to rebuild their civilizations. And they all vowed revenge.
