Greetings, all!
I've come to the idea that since MA is out for a while, and people have the tendency to make up some new goodies, it would be interesting to create a thread where they can share and discuss Techniques built using the new technique design system. Yes, this includes both realistic and cinematic. Anybody willing to share (if not, I'll be posting a few of mine to get it started). Thanks in advance to all who share and join the discussion! Stab Through the Heart (yeah, that was edited) (Hard)
Default: prerequisite skill -7; cannot exceed prerequisite skill -1. Prerequisite: appropriate Melee Weapon skill. This is a difficult but effective thrust against the most valuable vital organ. Roll against this technique to hit; if you succeed and the adversary fails to defend, treat the attack as a successful stab to the vitals, but with +2 damage (or +1 per die, whichever is better). A miss by 1 hits the torso.

These two are for a discussion:
Snap Kick: A short, low-powered kick with the front leg while standing on the hind leg. -1 damage for +2, no need for a DX roll for -1. Total: Skill-1. It still has the normal reach. Low Kick: A kick that avoids unbalancing by not raising the leg too high. +1 for can only target the lower body half. Skill-1. Last edited by vicky_molokh; 01-29-2008 at 12:52 AM. |

Needlepoint. Average Defaults to Sewing -3. Was a separate skill in 3rd edition. This is the way to embroider or otherwise artistically enhance cloth with a needle and thread.
For the martial arts aspect of this thread, It may be used in combat with a knitting needle, which has ST 4 and does thrust -3 pi- damage. ;)

Default: Acrobatics-4 Max level: Skill+4 This is the Technique for performing Tic-Tacs. Kromm said that it can be raised above Acrobatics with practice, IIRC, so here it is for completeness. |
