Ok, so I am lucky enough to have 5 custom cards for the orignal Munchkin game...along with the first two expansions...that doesn't really matter as they all look the same...
Anyways, I was wondering what everyone else uses to draw on their custom cards...any ideas would be great...thanks!

I normally just use a pen, but if you are looking at doing colored pencils or markers or something, you can go find those blank sticky name tags and put it on the front. They will take up most of the card, which is helpful.

Well, I feel stupid...
First of all, having blank cards isn't lucky... everyone who buys Unnatural Axe gets five... Anyway, I feel stupid because it WOULD have been smart to use some non-permanent substance on the blank cards, ie a post-it note... Therefore, you can make new cards all the time... Well, I made two permanent cards... using permanent markers (sigh...) The Segway Steed: +3 bonus, +1 to run away... Little picture of a Segway in the middle... The Rainbow Hireling: +1 bonus, can hold any race-specific weapon (i.e. elf only, orc only, etc) It's important to make sure the cards you create are balanced... And if you don't know what a segway is: www.segway.com |

i use a permanent marker - something like a CD pen is about the right size to write on the cards.
and if you wanna change your cards, mix up a 50/50 solution of acetone (nail varnish remover) and water, and rub gently using tissue paper. it may take several application to remove the permanent marker, especially if it's been on there a long time, but with patience you'll have sparkly clean cards again. |

I'd suggest you not post any new ideas here because it is not in SJG's best interests to have fan ideas show up in this forum for what probably would be a host of legal issues.

You're asking for help on how to work with them, not what you've written, so I don't see a point in deleting useful information. My point is posting actual card ideas is not good.

This is a little off from what you were asking, but at some point I came across an interesting idea regarding the blank cards. It was suggested that using the blank cards as Wandering Monster cards was a good alternative. I loved the idea, and have done so ever since. You can never have enough opportunities to screw with someone's combat, eh?

if you don't mind increasing the size of your deck significantly, you can use deck protectors, and you can draw on them easily enough. or you could just label the blank card with a letter, and then have a look up chart to see what each card actually does. but personally, i'm fairly happy with my created cards, i wouldn't want to change them anyway.
