[OOC] In Nomine: the Mile Higher Club

I have the week off for ChuSeok, and apparently my favorite PC room is 24/7 and not closing for the holidays. So--any/all of you folks free? I know two of you are bogged down in serious work, so I'll have to adjust any chat scene-ing for that IRL situation. Still, a bit of kibbitzing I think would do us good.

I'll put a time note in http://sylver.geek.co.il/chat/ so you can get a sense of relative time zones. I'm in Korea near Seoul in case you forgot.

Add--since I don't like to seem like I'm bumping the thread up for trivial reasons. Updating the Angelfire page background pages Fixed the formatting on Corat's bio on the spoiler's page, took some of the Mary-Sue out of the Wataris' backstory, added/clarified some of those characters not yet introduced but who have influenced actions in play, clarified the Hawaii tether. On the settings/celestial page updated some tethers including making sure that tether matches the spoiler version, adding some 'hedge' words i.e. "only known" as opposed to "only one of two" tethers. Going over site map to see what links need updated/fixed.

Fixed format errors on settings/losangeles, proofread tethers there. Created master character index, damned hard to do when your toolbar is in Korean...grrr....

Just got Internet at home, woot! Still have to figure out how to tell the laptop not to go into Sleep mode every five min'utes, but one battle at a time.

I'll be in chat a lot more often now :) I'm also going to bend the plot a little to work around RL schedules, so those who are not buried in RL have something to do and those who are don't feel like the story's passed them by. Sometime this weekend, since weekends are basically slow for PbP anyway.

Likely new player coming on board--we're in PM scene now. She's brand new to In Nomine so she doesn't know who her character's Superior would be. I've suggested Michael or David, but neither one's a perfect fit, and I hesitate to go with Laurence or Gabriel for fear of upsetting the dynamic among players any more than I have to.

She's playing a soldier, monster-hunter concept, Chinese or Korean ethnicity. Nisroc himself will be bringing her on board.

Thoughts?

I'd say Michael, Gabriel, Laurence, or Blandine- if the soldior only hunts those "monsters" that hurt the dreams of humanity. Honestly I don't see the issue with letter her serve Laurence or Gabriel though- if she's knew to the game it'll give her a character that she can anchor herself too if she needs any help.

I'd have no problems with her following Gabby, no steping on toes here and it'd give her a automatic contact in the party, as Alexondria said.

It's 1 am in Korea...insomnia blows.

Next two days I'll be pretty busy, but those two in PM right now know I'm a little slow on the response. That PM should bring us up to afternoon in game time and set up for the meeting with the Loa.

Anyone available for a chat soon? I'm thinking next weekend. Right now the chat room says it's 7pm Oct 2, and right now my clock says it's 1 am Oct 3. So we have insane time zones...well, as usual.

Here is GMT +9 hours. Check in with what you've got please...or wait a couple of days for me to re-compile from the last time you told me your GMT's...

As for next weekend it would depend on when but I expect to be fairly busy. The 10th is my table top In Nomine game. The 11th is both my table top Noir game and a party later that night. So I coud maybe do something on that Sunday depending on if I have homework to deal with or not.

Sorry I'm not around - busy busy busy RL..

I'm flying off to Ireland for 3 weeks on Tuesday, so I won't be available anytime soon..

I'm GMT +2 (assuming we all have the same DST, which is iffy right now.. Israel has weird DST..)

You know what time it is here by the chat room, though, as it's using my local time for the timestamps..

I should call the Demon of Time Zones "Voldemort" because I keep forgetting what it's named. ;P

Mapped it out, and LOL here's what I've got:
GMT -8 Puck
-6 alexondria and RadLilim
-5 ladyarcana55
+1 Methariel
+2 Sylver and Qed
+9 here in Korea


At the same time it is:
8pm Friday for Puck
10pm Friday for alexondria and RadLilim
11pm for ladyarcana55
4 am GMT
5am Saturday morning for Methariel (I hope he's still on--that's his villain causing trouble just now)
6am for Sylver and Qed
and 1 in the afternoon Saturday for me

To catch Puck on Sunday I effectively have to be in chat on Monday, and while theoretically that's possible from work I figure it's a bad idea this early in a job. In a few months, maybe, as I have a light schedule on Mondays, but not just now.


So how's this? Puck, 11 am Sunday morning...me, 4am Monday morning which is doable. 9pm Israel...7pm Sunday Ireland unless I'm off my mark. Not that I realistically expect anyone to be chatting while on vacation, but you know I'd love it.

Any chance of that working? That is 7pm Sunday GMT.
