Just a brief update--
Will in fact be moving in a week--got the work visa today. This means I will be somewhat of a spazz for a bit. Demons are on canon, as nearly as I remember. I'll reread to be sure, but so far what you all have said is right on the mark....and if it isn't, I'll "notebook" retcon to make sure it is. boingyboingyboingy...

Alright--I'm flying out Tuesday afternoon my time, and I'd better have my flight confirmations by Monday morning or I'm going to be a complete basket case!
That said I did a lot of driving around tonight with the thinking that goes along with it. Here's what I came up with: Demons are on canon. You've also got three basic factions in Hell, but demons in general are much more fractured/backstabbing than angels, so those factions don't mean as much. Demons simply lack the single-minded conviction of their unfallen brothers. Those factions are 'the big shots' including Baal and Asmodeus, guys who are old and powerful and usually don't feel any need to prove anything. The second are 'the snobs', probably the biggest of them, including Andrealphus, Kronos, and arguably Lilith--sophisticates and sophists with a hundred reasons why they are really in charge. The third I'd call 'the wallowers', notably Haagenti and Saminga, who don't give a hoot about politics because they're so bad at them and instead focus singlemindedly on their Words. But really, unlike angels who will stand by those of similar minds, demons don't form stable factions. "Allied" is a joke. On another note I have to do what is hopefully a very small retcon. When you (some of you) left L.A. at Elias's Soul Food/Eli's tether, you might have noted the Windy's motorcycle parked in the back shed. Wherever he's been the past hour, he wasn't on his bike. I expect I'll post in game on Monday, and then I don't know what my access will be for at least a week after that. Could be total, could be stolen moments at work, could be nothing at all--just don't know. ---Add----flight confirmed.

Safely here in Korea--Incheon I think but I still don't have the geography down yet. My place isn't ready yet so I'm couch and guestroom dwelling--I've assured my hosts that this is wholly normal to me. They are very generous, supportive people here or at least everyone I've met so far. I've actually had to turn down food, which is an etiquette no-no, simply because I've been too full. Could not quite explain 'acid reflux' to them either, ah well.
Updates on that, for those who are interested, are in my livejournal http://lurkingheretic.livejournal.com

--kicks the board--
Waiting impatiently for Shen's reply before I bring the Windy back onstage...

It's Sunday here, but yeah...the waiting has been bugging me, and if you're mentioning it it no doubt bugs you. I'm PMing him a copy of the chat session Shen/Ryuki in case he's lost it, and then I'm bringing the Windy in through that fireplace, ready or not. IOW, I'm going to say we give him another 24 hours and then go ahead as if Shen just got tongue-tied. Or in my case, 48 hours as I'm busy on an orientation trip to Seoul tomorrow night. The rest of you though...jump in tomorrow, and we'll let him backdate that reply. RLCF, but game is a nice escape from RL. p.s. and this is a huge gesture of trust, folks. I'm unlocking the chat transcript for the Shenmachel/Ryuki scene so Methariel can reread it. http://maroon-ed.livejournal.com/101418.html He doesn't have an LJ account and his mailbox is full. Nothing's stopping you from reading it except...well, it's massively spoilerish, and information you should be getting from Shen, not on your own. Part of the fun of RP is getting information spun and slanted from a character's point of view, and reading this will deprive you of some of that fun. Previously it was on a lurkers' friends filter i.e. roleplayers and others who are not in the PbP game.
