How likely is it to be available to purchase today? Super excited!

Apologies to all, but GURPS Meta-Tech will be a week or two late.
This is NOT because there's a problem with the content! Everything has been revised, edited, and proofed to within an inch of its life. All of the words, numbers, and writing that somehow isn't words or numbers – not to mention all of the art – is fine, approved, and good to go.

This is NOT because we're having second thoughts about releasing the supplement now or at all. We planned to release it today right up until yesterday evening. We would've released it today but for one thing . . .
This spring, we decided – for the first time in a couple of decades – to put GURPS on a release schedule of the "Month: Product" variety. However, many and sundry administrative tasks lurk behind a release, such as assigning various codes (like Stock Numbers and, for books, ISBNs), adding entries to the store database and setting up sales tracking, and creating store pages and the little images and ads that you see. These are still manual in many cases, which means that someone with the right passwords has to do it. Part of the growing pains of scheduling GURPS is that we aren't yet all that great at coordinating the release schedule with the staff schedule. Notably, the people who work on GURPS (meaning Nikki, Steven, and me) aren't the ones who do that stuff.

So, yeah. The product slipped through a crack and now the release must wait a bit, possibly until after Independence Day . . . which tends to engulf a weekend, in this case July 4-7. That isn't Christopher's fault, or even mine (I'm very, very far from that side of the company) – but for the sake of definiteness, please direct disappointment at me. Sorry about that!

Thanks. I guess I'll stop hitting the W23 search function every 20-30 minutes then. ;)

I might just keep hitting refresh on W23 anyway!

Sad for the delay, but still pumped for the release!

Any possibility of a preorder ability on it? I'd love to give future me a gift. O;>

Bah. Stuff happens. I'm sure it'll get straight and folks can see the thing they seem to want to see. ^_^
