Default [Magic Styles] [Horror] Going Down The Dark Path

New post on my blog, first article, on expanding upon The Dark Path from Magic Styles: Horror Magic. Tell me what you think.

https://tabletoprpg333.home.blog/202...the-dark-path/

Should be able to finish the second part soon enough. Fingers crossed.

Very nice. The memory spell has some deliciously flavorful ingredients...

Thank you very much for this, I just *LOVED* your 'The Road to Greatness' evilbook series.

Not really used this style yet, but when/if I take this career choice I'm getting lots of Luck (Is Daredevil useful for Dark Path adepts?) and two magical perks: Critical Failure Hardiness and Critical Failure Resistence (variants of the perks in Magical Styles).

You keep mentioning "RUM" and "RUM levels", but what those are?

Glad you enjoyed my work! It's great to see somebody taking mechanical nuts and bolts, plus the bare sketch of world material, and fleshing it out.

Oh, and "RUM" is Radically Unstable Magery (GURPS Thaumatology, p. 26). It has nothing to do with sugarcane and stills.

Part 2 should cover example NPC stylists, then consider possible origins/secret awful truths behind the style.

Watch this space.

And now the second half, to finish the article.

Enjoy!

I enjoyed the whole thing. Consider portion yoinked for any future "dark magic" campaigns I run.
