I like the idea of being in the same hex as something much larger, subject to trampling but still allowed to attack it with a melee weapon. Unlike the present rules which inflict the negatives of hand to hand on the smaller person. I don't think this idea should be specific to a particular race.

In my full revised rules, it's not, but in the article's context (where I was trying to make these options fit into a more RAW-friendly box) it felt appropriate to present it as a race-specific advantage.
