Default Question about magic [3e] : one try per X

Some spells have "one try per day" or so in their descriptions.

If you fail to cast a Youth spell, you can't cast it on same subject in a month. Likewise, you fail a Seek spell, you can't cast it in a week.

Is it true when you succeed to cast a such spell? Or you can cast it immediately after that?

One try per x means just that. You can try to cast the spell on a subject only once per day (week, month, year, whatever) and if you success, fine but you still have to wait the time perioud for a new casting, while if you failed... well, you still have to wait.

As Taneli said, X try per day is X try per day, whether you succeed or not.

Seeker is a special case because the spell is not listed as once per week; it specifically says that if you fail, you cannot try again for one week.

Taneli, Ellie, thanks a lot.

But, Eliie, you are wrong about Seeker. GURPS Magic clearly says "One try per week", not "if you fail, you cannot try again for one week"...
