My preference for how to move forwards on this is for somebody to send in an example of play for Hexagram where they choose resolutions for the contradictions and through publication make them stick.
A scenario I'd apply is our heroes are trying to climb up to raid a dragon's nest and the rogue is halfway up the rope when the dragon appears. Wizard casts a flight spell while the fighter is firing crossbow, etc.

Obviously, that's inconsistent with the quote from Bola. |

I'd vastly prefer errata listed in a sticky on this forum and corrected in updated PDFs of the appropriate books.

Agree with Shostak. You shouldn't have to fork out money to get access to rules fixes.
I really like Hexagram and have bought most of them, but errata or clarifications should be free. |

Yes, Staff is a Special spell, which creates a staff. The staff's occult attack is something else, but is never described as a spell itself.

The -2 DX is for someone under the effects of the Flight. The -4 DX is for flying creatures. I know it makes it sound like someone under the spell is at a disadvantage ("not used to flying") when flying, but I see it the opposite as that. Those under Flight spell are flying magically and not limited by flapping of wings and manipulating the air (aerofoil, etc) in order to move. A flying saucer compared to a airplane. So, I take it exactly as stated. |
