I was inspired by the excellent optional rules for fencing from Lester Smith's article in the new issue of Hexagram. I've drawn up a draft of some suggested guidelines and options to help work fencing into combats where more is going on (movement; some people fencing, some not; etc.) and optional expansions to include a couple more special fencing actions beyond the parry and riposte and applications to other weapons that also have historical precedence for complex exchanges of parries and attacks. Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions!
