A bit of thread necromancy here . . .
Two of my players are creating new characters for my historical/anthropological fantasy campaign: an elven twin brother and sister. They asked for Special Rapport, which I decided was okay. But they also asked if they could use this to know each other's locations. That didn't seem to be part of Special Rapport, but it seemed only a minor upgrade, so I made it a perk. I was puzzled for a bit over what to call it, but looking at GURPS Magic, I found the spell Seeker, and I thought I could get away with borrowing that name, and perhaps much of the mechanics . . .

I would probably have done it as an enhancement on Special Rapport, but a perk works too.

Sartorial Adaptability
When in trouble and need to change clothes with someone else, you will find that the other person's clothes always fit you, no matter how unlikely this may be. Works only on other people of the same SM, but you could be 6'6" and change into the clothes of a 5'2" person and the clothes will fit perfectly.

"You're a little short for a stormtrooper"
"Well, the armor fits perfectly!"

And, with Innocuous Dress, almost no-one thinks this is the slightest bit odd when you do so.

Standard Operation Procedure: put clothes back on before switching off invisibility
Outfit Snatcher: wherever you left a specific suit of clothes when you turned insubstantial / invisible, they re-appear on you when you turn visible/substantial again, securing your modesty Latter is cheaper than Snatcher (Specialized: Clothing I own -80%) [16] even as an Alternate Ability (1/5 = 4 points) but I figure it's fair because you're not just limiting yourself to clothing you own, but clothing you were wearing at the time you changed form. Comparable to "Supersuit" perk from Supers except you don't have it with you while in the altered form, so you're unmodest/unprotected THEN, just not when you change back. The benefit is that your supersuit can't be damaged/stolen during that time, and you could have someone mending it in the meanwhile as you're walking through walls. |
