When a feline uses its curiosity ability, does the door card that was originally kicked down go into effect? If not, that seems way too easy to get away from traps.

if the first door was something like a race, class, or sidekick with no immediate affect, would it go into the player's hand? or discarded?- thanks

It's a standard Kicked-Open Door, so you can do with that card whatever you would normally do with it. The difference is that you can then kick open a *second* door.
