Monsters are busy

I am fighting a monster and someone throws the "Monsters are Busy" card, so no fight occurs. If then I wander in a new monster does it follow the "busy" rule as well or is it a fresh new battle?
If so,the other players (including me) have to wait for this fight to end in order to trade GUAL cards for 2 treasures? Is there a time window between the "Busy" issue being resolved and everyone drawing treasures and the new battle beginning (so that I can equip the new items-if any-I drew)?
