Fix the XP table to read...
38th 1k 39th 2k 40th 3k 41st 4k 42nd 5k ... and so on +1k additional for each point forever. This way we get the Necromancer Octopus poster child for the game in centuries instead of several ice ages.

I think the quadratic XP cost of stats is the greatest thing to happen to TFT since the invention of the six sided die.

Evil Stevie's is exponential. A character with attributes two higher requires four times as much XP.

How about a Fibonacci series:
38=1k 39=2k 40=3k 41=5k 42=8k 43=13k 44=21k 45=34k 46=55k Etc. I think higher costs per each increase helps.

O.k., then what I meant is that I love the exponential approach. TFT is an interesting, balanced game when the stat point economy is tight on overall resources and one has to make difficult decisions. I've found interest in the game when stat totals are over 50, but honestly it is a stretch; the game is just a lot funner with PCs having stat totals in the 30's. The exponential rise rules enforce this.
