Summoned demons -- see through their eyes?

Demons are different from other summoned creatures in several ways.

When you summon one, can you see through its eyes and control it like any other summoned creature if you cause it to fight for you? This seems logical to me but inquiring minds want to know...

Also, what about when it does a service for you? Do you go for a ride-along?
