Tourist trap cast on player already helping in battle

Hello. There is following situation: I help one player in battle, another player casts Tourist trap on me. Can I remove the curse, if we win the battle, or I should help someone in another battle?
PS Gentlemen, please, I need your help. It's not obvious question, and there is no answer in the rulebook. My group told that I am not allowed to get rid of this curse in this situation, so I have lost the game. This question is very important for me.

First: We have a thread for questions that haven't been answered so we can get to them when we have a chance. That doesn't mean we will do so in any specific period of time; sometimes, these questions take research or discussion and we fit those in as we can around other priorities. Please do not bump threads.

Second: The rules say clearly that if a Curse that applies to a combat hits you while you are in combat, it applies immediately. In this case, you were helping in a combat and hit with Tourist Trap, which is lifted when you help someone win a combat. If you won that combat after you were Cursed, the Curse would be lifted immediately.
