Selling excess value Items

I have 3 Items 600 GP each. I want to get rig of them.
Can I sell them for 1800 GP and take 1 level? Or I can sell only 2 for 1200 GP and can't add third?
FAQ says I can do that with "no value" Items, but I want to be sure about value Items.

If you want you can sell all three items for 1800 GP and gain 1 level. If you have a good reason to do so, why not?

(The originally provided answer is correct, btw. In that situation, you could sell all three Items if you wanted to.)
