TL10 parachutes - Page 3

Disclaimer: Everything I know about parachutes I learned from movies.

I understand that parachutes need to be packed very carefully in order to open properly. at TL10, could this be automated? How about a self-recovering parachute that sucks itself back into the backpack after use and is automatically reset for another use? How big and heavy would such a rig be? could it fit into/under clothing? Be incorporated into a backpack which also has room for other things? All of this seems reasonable to me, but I'd like the opinion of someone more informed. I saw nothing about parachutes in UT.

I saw this in the 1984 movie "Cloak and Dagger" and loved the idea. I loved the whole movie, actually, and haven't watched it as an adult because I'm afraid it won't hold up.
