I think in general, most animals (especially solitary animals) use Defensive Attacks at best, because being hurt is very bad without access to medical services.

When attacking food, yes. When attacking in self defense, make the danger leave no matter how.
Surrender is death. Caution merely gives danger time to think.

Setup Attacks do that natively, FWIW. :-)

The Teamwork Perk also does this.
