Flame Strike [50]
Burning Attack 2d (Area Effect, 8-yards radius, +150%; Cosmic, No die roll required, +100%; Surprise Attack, +150%) [50] You summon a fiery pillar below your enemies' feet. Those without special sensory abilities (ie. Danger Sense or 360° Vision) cannot dodge the flames; others can try do jump out. Everyone caught takes 2d of burning damage. This power is terrifbly effective in war, against enemies in close formation. Even if it doesn't kill many men, it can still wound them and heavily damage their morale.

Spidey Sense [53]
Obscure Vision level 9 Defensive, +50% Stealthy, +100% Extended, +20% (whatever the next most common targetting form is) Reflexive, +40% Only vs Attackers, -40% (No invisibility, no concealment, only makes it hard for people to target you.) Selective Area, +20% Whether a matter of incredible dodging skill and precognition, probability manipulation, blessed by the gods, etc, you are nearly impossible to hit in combat. Whenever someone tries to strike you they find themselves at a -9 to hit. As a side benefit, anyone in a two yard radius can be helped by your power as well. This can manifest as you pushing them out of the way, or something more esoteric like bullets improbably missing. Good for supers and action heros who rarely get hit. EDIT: Changed Selectivity to Selective Area and fixed point total. Last edited by Fnordianslip; 01-25-2008 at 04:47 PM. |

This power allows you to sense and control emotions. To do so, you must touch your target's skin. After that, your affliction power is activated. If it works, your target gains a sense of duty to you and is open to further emotional reprogramming. You can change your puppets emotions at will as long as you are within line of sight of them. Additionally, you can detect emotions with an incredible level of accuracy. This detection happens continuously and effortlessly. |

Resurrecting this oldie, here's a new gem for my Gem Sword.
Sleep Gem (4 points) Affliction 1 (HT; Sleep, Secondary, +30%; Melee Attack, Reach 1, 2, -20%; Nuisance Effect, Requires two free hands, -5%; Armor Divisor, 0.5, -30%) [2] Affliction 1 (HT; Sleep, Secondary, +30%; Melee Attack, Reach 1, -20%; Armor Divisor, 0.5, -30%) [2]. By touching your opponent with the sword, you can put him to sleep if he fails a HT roll by 5 or more or critically fails it. DR adds double its normal bonus to this roll. Note: this is an alternate attack; the sword does not do any damage. |
