[Thaumatology/Basic] Gadget DR
Searching for alternative ways of making magic items, I took a look at Thaumatology's Magic Items as Advantages, specifically at the Magic Sword (p. 115). The sword has the Breakable limitation and DR 12, with the note that "DR is better than for
an ordinary sword, thanks to its enchantment".
So I checked the Basic Set for the Breakable gadget limitation (p. 117), finding out that a -10% limitation gives the gadget a DR of 6 to 15. Since you're not considering the gadget's weight because of "magic", why not just pick DR 15? Is there any downside to picking the highest DR you can?
Meanwhile... any other good ways of making magic items? I've read about Metatronic Generators, but after a quick look around it strikes me as kinda complicated.
