Slay a Minion - Munchkin Bites

The Slay a Minion card says that you may Go Up a Level if there is a Minion card in play and that the Minion is discarded. It is vague about whether the player of the card gets to choose which Minion is discarded. Are all Minions discarded? Does the player of the card lose their own Minion(s)? Or does the player of the card choose one single Minion to slay? Thanks.
