I may get to play in a IW game soon.
I am looking at playing a RPM mage (probably an 'True Traveler' limited to crossroad and chance) A few questions: 1)could a RPM mage gather external energy in a 'no-mana/desecrated' world if he have Mana Enhancer (Place of Power) from Pyramid 66 ? Or does he need the original Mana Enhancer advantage ? 2)if a character have Mana Enhancer (Place of Power) from Pyramid 66, can he cast spell without the penalty from non-consecrated place ? (Since "Any place of magical potency is considered consecrated") 3)For charms and conditionals, would a double specialty on path of magic be ok ? (following Pyramid 66 p20) Path of Magic(Control, charm and conditional) IQ/A instead of IQ/VH. Assuming I cannot convince the GM to allow me to take a perk to use thaumathology instead of path of magic for charms and conditionals, with a +6 to base energy cost and -1 to skill for each path after the first. On one hand, it save a lot of points, on the other hand, path of magic is very usefull by itself... As a GM, my answer would be No, Yes, Yes and I would probably allow the perk, but since I will be the player, I would like some further opinion. Thanks, Celjabba |
