Clarification on selling items for level(s)
When selling items, is the total value of gold a running total for the rest of your turn? Or do you lose the total once you perform the action of selling something? For example, let's say I declare that I am selling two cards worth 1,200 gold for a level. I then discard the cards and grow myself a level. Right after I do that, I realize I have another item I could sell worth 800 gold. Could I add that 800 to the total of 1,200 after I have already sold those items to get another level? Or is the action of selling the first two items already complete, therefore requiring the full 1,000 gold for another level?
If the answer is yes, I would get the additional level, then the same can be done when the level does not make the difference, correct? If I sold two items for 1,000 gold, then realize after I sell the items that I would rather add an additional item to that total so I do not have to give it as charity, I could do that, right? Of course, this depends on the initial ruling.
Thanks for the help!
