Warrior Berserk

Can a warrior use berserk in combat against another player? I was adamant that my friend could not do this against me as it doesn't say; "gives you or a monster/s +1 bonus", but just figured I'd ask here for total clarification.

Sorry if this is a no=brainer. 5 hour Epic Munchkin game will do that...
