Hi guys,
I've been statting out some powers to be used by psychics in my games, and I decided I wanted to model a power that lets the psychic block out one of the target's senses, one at a time. So, easy enough: Block Vision [23]: Affliction [10] -- Disadvantage [Bad Sight] [+25%] -- Malediction [+100%] Block Smell [21]: Affliction [10] -- Disadvantage [No Sense of Smell/Taste] [+5%] -- Malediction [+100%] Block Hearing [21]: Affliction [10] -- Disadvantage [Hard of Hearing] [+10%] -- Malediction [+100%] Block Feeling [22]: Affliction [10] -- Disadvantage [Numb] [+20%] -- Malediction [+100%] BUT WAIT! Consider: Sensory Deprivation, aka Make Target Very Sad Indeed [26]: Affliction [10]: -- Disadvantage [Bad Sight] [+25%] -- Disadvantage [No Sense of Smell/Taste] [+5%] -- Disadvantage [Hard of Hearing] [+10%] -- Disadvantage [Numb] [+20%] -- Malediction [+100%] So... For approximately a quarter of the points, I can block every sense with the same power. I looked at Selectivity, but that's not quite right because what I'm after is more of a limitation: Can't Use The Whole Lot At Once. Any thoughts? Or have I perhaps missed something somewhere? Thanks! |
