Since I play with a mixed deck using both regular Munchkin and Star Munchkin, could I play Mate and Clone in the same combat or on the same monster? How would it work? Would I then be fighting three different versions of the same monster? Looking over the rules, that seems like the case, but for some reason I thought that there was some limit on playing these cards. (Bear in mind I am using a 2008 edition of both those decks, and have inconveniently lost the instructions that came with them, so I have no idea if I was misreading a rule, or if there was a rule that changed with the new editions, or if my mind is just playing tricks on me to make me look like an idiot.)

Yes. You would be fighting three identical monsters.

I think I figured out where my confusion came from, which was the rule that you can only have one helper in a fight, and I was for some reason applying that to the monster side as well as the munchkin side. But clearly there's nowhere in the rules to indicate that, so I was just off my rocker there.
My stupidity aside, thanks for the swift reply! |

The current rules to all sets are always here.

But probably not much use if he wants to continue playing with the older cards. In any event, the question was asked and answered.
