Atomic Zombie Fire Bonus

The Atomic Zombie gives you +1 for each item in your hand/s and makes it so it's a fire attack. Let's say you only have one item in your hand that grants you +2, +3 with the Atomic Zombie bonus. If you fight a monster that ignores fire/flame attacks, does it only ignore the +1 bonus, or all the power from the item in your hand since it's doing fire/flame damage?
