I guess the question is why can't golems cross the Pentagram? Do they count as being possessed or something, for example. BTW I do think other enchanted items should make it through unless the Pentagram or similar barrier is specifically targeting enchantments.

No. Pentagrams stop spells and magical creatures. Golems are magical creatures. Which means, incidentally, they can't even throw a common rock through a pentagram.

Because they are magical creatures (and therefore have the feature "Affected by Pentagram").

True (p. 59), when I was searching I looked for Mana Dependency. Though "Mana" isn't discussed there. But it not being mentioned does not rule out that someone could have realized it could be a thing a character or monster or something could be susceptible to.

I am personally being pulled toward the "magic stops working by default" argument in no-mana areas. Enchanted items stop there, spells too. It makes a kind of cohesive sense to me that No-Mana Shutdown is "built in" to many things already because they are powered by magic by default.

Thanks, everyone. But it's 1 am here and time to "sign off."

Goodnight and thanks again

The pentagram's effect is basically mental. It's not physical barrier, they just have trouble commanding their own mind mind to do anything that would cross that line.

This does not makes sense. They are likely to not be aware of the pentagrams existence.

A better argument would be: they are not aware of the existence of targets protected by a pentagram.

It stops the creature from throwing totally mundane objects through the pentagram. That ssems like a mental thing from me.
