By default, Unkillable by itself does not protect you from death by old age (or poison, disease, heart attack, etc.). To resist these, you need extra advantages, like Unaging, Resistant, etc.
What I'm trying to build, and can't figure out how, is a character with Unkillable II or III (undecided which yet, but I don't think it matters for the purpose of this question) who still ages like normal, but if he is "killed" and comes back, he comes back young. Once he recovers from his death, he's as he was as a young adult, without any losses to aging, disease, crippling injuries, etc. He retains everything he gained, though, so he still has his old skills, and any attributes or advantages he raised over time by spending earned points, etc. are still intact. So, as he gets older (or sick, etc.) he becomes increasingly reckless, since if he's killed violently he'll come back young again. (Assume here that for character reasons he won't just shoot himself to heal.) Obviously, this is a pretty powerful ability, but it's not quite the same as actually being Unaging, etc., but nor is it Reincarnation (where you awaken from death in an entirely new form). I'm stumped as to how to build this. Some sort of odd enhancements on his Unkillable? Buying Unaging, Regrowth, etc with Trigger (death) doesn't seem like it would work, since then it would only protect him from bad things that happened after his death (which hardly seems useful); Trigger (death) and Timespanning just seems nonsensical, but it's the closest I've been able to come. How in the world do I build this? (Sorry I've been starting so many threads lately; eventually I'll actually be able to get my players pinned down and we can run this game that's been in the planning stages for so long, and I'll be able to shut up. :) ) |
