Cursed thingy + cheat!

Hi

So I was playing with my gf the other night and I cursed an item with the Cursed Thingy card. Later she drew a Cheat! card and asked if she could play it on her cursed item to be able to fight with it again. Of course I let her do it, because I thought it was pretty awesome, but I'm guessing it was against the rules? (just for future reference)

Cheat! would just allow you to use the Item, and the curse doesn't stop that (in fact , you are forced to kee using the Item if it was in use when cursed). The Item still has no powers nor bonus. However, I would agree that it would remove the restriction on Hands and so on if it was in use when it was cursed.
