Simple question: can I target myself with an Affliction?

Thanks. That settles that!
It seems buying Area-Effect Beneficial Afflictions is really useful. Instead of buying an advantage yourself, you can buy it for the whole party for just a few more points (with some limitations of course, like having to roll, etc.)! |

In most cases, the extra cost does tend to be worth it. Just remember, you can buy more levels of Affliction to improve your odds of success.

Yeah, although it seems like Malediction is almost always more cost-effective. This is one of the things that bothers me about the pricing of Afflictions. Why is it 10/level? It seems the first level is the significant one. Improving odds of success should be just a different kind of enhancement, IMHO (like Reliable, for example).
