Some questions about Ghoulfiends

Can I use one-shot items to gain combat strength against Ghoulfiends?

Can I use negative enhancers on Ghoulfiends?

Can I use items with effects other than a bonus, e.g. Transferral Potion, Boots of Running Really Fast, Doppleganger, when fighting Ghoulfiends?

And incidentally, is Doppleganger supposed to be spelt that way?

1: No, they are Items. (They have a gold value)
2: Yes, they are NOT Items.
3: Yes, because they take you out of combat or are used after combat is over and you enter another phase. They do not assist you fighting the Ghoulfiends.
4: Yes.

You cannot use Doppleganger because it gives you a combat bonus. And yes, it's supposed to be spelled that way, because that's the way we want to spell it. So there.
