If someone else is fighting the Glove, and I have a Wishing Ring and try to use it - what happens?

Are you talking about the Crawling Hand? If so, then you can only give it a Wishing Ring if you are fighting it. So the combat owner or his helper are the only ones that may do this.

And I presume that if a HELPER uses the Wishing Ring, the HELPER gets the Crawling Hand.

I'm not so sure about that. The person fighting the card is the one who owns the cards and the rewards. I don't have the exact text of the card in front of me but I do know that if two people are in combat and the helper uses anything to make the Monster go away, like Pollymorph Potion or Wizard Charm, then the original owner still gets the treasure and it is divided as agreed.

Treasure and levels earned during a battle are added to the pool of rewards to be collected at the end of battle by the combat owner (with Treasure then being distributed via the deal that was made), regardless of who activated an effect, but the Crawling Hand becomes owned as part of its effect, which means the helper should actually keep it in this case.
