In the first DAWN OF WAR series, an SM unit tricked out with flamers, meltas, and/or missiles can easily remove 3-4 times their number of orks if they get surprise or trap them, usually without more than 1-2 casualties. Also, an Ork boss comments on how effective 'splosives are against his kind in one of the cinematics.
I suppose it might technically work, but it sure isn't effective. |

Thank you all very much for your contributions. You have helped me a lot, I think I'll take the armor divisor route to make the choppas the Orks wield a viable weapon get through the SMs armor. While the imbuement route would be the correct one to take, it simply doesn't matter for the game I plan.

I've created a standard Slugga Boy, if any of you have any comments, please feel free to leave them here! Thanks!
Please note that the Power Armor of my Space Marines will have 70/50 DR (Just like the standard GURPS Power Armor). Like this, an Orc does have a chance to injury a SM with a hit from his Choppa as well as his Slugga, but he won't do a lot of damage, unless he rolls really high Damage Choppa: 4d+2 -> (4*3.5)+2 = 16 Damage with an Armor Divisor of 5 (70/5=14) this will give the Ork the capability to inflict 2 injury on average should he hit the SM. Slugga: 4d+1 -> 15 Damage with an Armor Divisor of 5 this will give the Ork the capability to inflict 1 injury (modified by hit location and damage modifier (pi++)) on average should he hit the SM. Also, a standard Bolter will use APHEX Ammo and do 8d(2) pi++ follow-up 1d cr ex [1d] damage, so a SM will not have any trouble killing these Boyz with a single shot. Slugga Boy PDF Slugga Boy: Code:
