Flexible Rituals as a 0pt feature?
According to Thaumatology p37, Flexible Rituals is a 0 point feature, and a wizard using Flexible Rituals is equal in power to one using basic magic.
Whatever your skill level you're going to be taking a penalty to get back to where you would have been with normal rituals. To cast stealthily you're at -10, which even for a skill 20 person is unbearable in all but the most ideal situations.
The only time it isn't worse than normal rituals is with skill <9, in which case you can't afford to use it anyway. And who has spells <9?
To me the whole thing just looks like a massive nerf, especially for higher level characters. Has anyone played with it or got any insight as to why it does/doesn't suck?
