Switching races / classes

Hey guys,

So let's say I'm an elf warrior, but I also have a halfling card which allows me to sell one item for double the money.

If I keep the Halfling card in my hand, can I switch out to Halfling, sell my item, then switch back before kicking down the door to being a combat?

No. In order to change your Race, you must discard the old one.

You can discard a Race card from the table at any time but you can never take it back into your hand unless you have a card that tells you to do exactly that.

Thanks so much for the clarification. I thought it would be a little broken if you could keep switching out whenever you liked.
