I have a hireling in play that states that it can carry one item and the bonus applies to me. Can I equip him with the +12 set of armor or does that count as more than one item?

Thanks!
There's another card in the deck that is a combo headgear and 1 hand. Does that also count as one item? Can I assume that 1 card = 1 item regardless of how many "slots" get filled by the card? |

If you equip a hireling with an item do the standard rules for items apply; specifically can you swap the item the hireling is holding?

Yes, you can change the Item a Hireling is carrying for you. You can only do so when it is valid for you to change the positions of your Items, though (generally during your turn while not in combat).
