Multiples of the Same Enhancement

I'm guessing it's fine, but is it okay to have Deflect 1 on a shield and on an armor separately for an overall +2 bonus?

My recollection is that, generally, only the strongest instant counts, but I'm slightly unsure about enchantments on different items ... yes, "Limits of effect" Magic p. 9. No special note on enchantments there, though.

Are you asking about Enchantments or Enhancements? That's a very important distiction in GURPS.
