Multiple Rocks/pellets in a prodd

So I'm building a new PC who focuses on crossbows and imbuements.

I notice that prodd's mention in there text in low-tech that they are loaded with pellets. I was hoping to have one loaded with multiple pellets ala a shotgun, I am sure I had seen rules for this somewhere previously, do they exist or am I hallucinating.

Also what would you assigns the rules for such to be?

Is it possible to make a cross bo with several channels for prodds. and perhaps to bow strings to propel a large, crosshaped slider, which pushes several feet? Accuracy would be worse, and malf higher. You'd need to oil the slide. But it can be done.
