Elf Help, winning with friends

I am new to the game and I was wondering about the rule on group winning with the elf. for example can a lvl 9 elf character assist a lvl 9 other character in order to win together?

if so can more than one cleric also win by divine intervention together?

Yes to both questions.

A level 9 Elf is one of the very few people likely to help you win a combat when you yourself are level 9. Of course, such a situation is rife with possibilities for betrayal (on either side) once the help has been accepted. If either of them can make the other lose a level in some way, they can take the win alone. :-D

The rules make no such restriction, so you are incorrect. Could you please point to what makes you think so?
