Exactly! That's why I'm not following griffian's logic. I definitely could be missing something, its been a rough few weeks.

Exactly why it's not in the Quadruped metatrait. The point being that Quadruped certainly doesn't forbid Sweep on its own.

My buddy has trained his rotweiler/shepherd/retriever/moose-like mutt to play-fight by wrestling with her body-weight and forepaws instead of with her jaws (for fairly obvious reasons). She doesn't use the same body-movement to knock your legs out from under you as a human does, but he has successfully trained her to do what I would definitely call a "sweep", followed up by a sort of bear-hug or a sort of doggy head-lock and a full-body pin. It's executed at Reach C, but she's only 60 lbs, so that's about right for SM -1.
