The word "Path" appears in Chapter 3 several times, and yet Chapter 3 contains zero references to the Paths or Books found in GURPS Thaumatology. Curious, no?

It could very well be referring to the Ritual Magic system for casting 'Hawthorne magic' spells rather than Path/Book magic proper, with each Path corresponding to a College.
