Levelling up in a room with an ignoring monster
Hi,
When e.g. using a "Go up a Level" card on level 3, while being in a room with a monster who ignores anyone on level 3 or below, does a combat start immediately or can you still exit the room if you have Move left? The rules single out four situations in which a combat starts, and this is not any of them. Would still make sense for the monster to note your level-up like "ah, finally you're worth fighting" and come after you? Related, if the combat does start in this situation, can you be Munchkin-like and play a "Go up a Level" card on someone else to force them into an unpleasant fight? :) |

Yes, the Monster will now be interested and want to fight, and yes, you can play most "Go Up A Level" cards on other players. A few can only be played on yourself, but that's not the majority.
